Human Resources Manager

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works directly with hiring managers to facilitate the hiring process including posting positions, schedule interviews, manage candidate correspondence, develop competitive offers and extend offers.

  • Facilitates all new hire paperwork and processing in coordination with internal departments. 

  • Manages the New Hire and Exit Workflow processes through the firm’s proprietary program.

  • Conducts new hire orientation and assures a smooth assimilation to the department and organization. 

  • Owns the relationship with our benefit vendors and manages all benefit enrollment, terminations, changes, updates and renewals.  Communicates all benefit updates to the firm.

  • Owns the information and requirements related to the Affordable Care Act (ACA).  Assists the organization in maintaining regulatory requirements.

  • Assists in the training and development activities for the firm which may include setting up training activities, giving input to new sessions, helping establish meeting agendas for Quarterly Forum sessions etc.

  • Responsible for managing approved employee relations programs; identify and recommend new opportunities.

  • Facilitates the performance management process (October – December).  Helps coach leaders and associates on effective performance feedback techniques.  Manages the promotion process with senior firm leaders.

  • Works with leaders and associates where developmental coaching or performance improvement plans are needed to improve employee performance.

  • Facilitates the salary administration and bonus planning processes.  

  • Conducts benchmarking activities as requested for internal roles; participates in annual external benchmarking studies.

  • Responsible for generating annual budget and maintaining expenses within defined thresholds for the human resources department.

  • Identifies areas of potential improvement to increase efficiency and cost effectiveness.

  • May own or take part in projects related to Human Resources or other firm initiatives as requested.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 5-7 years of general Human Resource experience with at least 2 years of concentrated experience in one of the following areas talent acquisition, benefit administration, talent development, performance management or compensation.

  • College degree required; HR related major or concentration a plus.

  • PHR or SHRM-CP required.

  • Must exhibit professionalism and discretion at all times.

  • Proven ability to coordinate and execute on multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Knowledge and experience with the regulations of the ACA a plus.
