Chief Investment Officer Brad Conger was recently interviewed on Schwab Network to discuss how current market dynamics are shaping Hirtle Callaghan’s portfolio decisions. “We’re cautious on the markets, because we’re back at the valuations we had at the beginning of the year, and yet the economy has decelerated,” he shared. With equity valuations back to early-2025 highs and 20-year Treasury yields pushing 5%, Brad made the case for having a more defensive posture while staying fully allocated to equities. Highlighting what appears attractive in today’s market, Brad pointed to overweight allocations to European equities, pharmaceutical names like Novo Nordisk and extended-duration U.S. Treasuries.
