Highlights from the CFA Society Conference Heading into 2026

Hirtle Callaghan was proud to be well represented at the CFA Society of Philadelphia’s Annual Private Wealth Management Conference in December.

Chief Investment Officer Brad Conger joined the Investment Strategy panel to share our outlook heading into 2026. With U.S. equity valuations stretched, Brad highlighted attractive opportunities in Europe. Within the U.S., we are modestly underweight mega-cap technology amid signs of froth, while favoring healthcare and consumer staples for their durable revenue streams. In fixed income, falling rates support our long-duration positioning.

Later in the day, Senior Portfolio Manager Bill Hagan led a discussion with tax and estate planning specialists on timely strategies following the passage of the One, Big, Beautiful Bill. Key opportunities as we approach 2026 include accelerating charitable giving in 2025, maximizing the Lifetime Estate and Gift Tax Exemption and using the Annual Gift Tax Exclusion.
